Rotary International Headquarters in Chicago sent notification this week that the Rotaract Club application for John Paul the Great Catholic University has been approved. Congratulations and thanks to all Rotaians who have worked for the past several months to see this come to fruition. This is going to be huge, Time to celebrate!

Member Moment: Alicia Knight Reeves will be having an experimental treatment in January for her recurring shoulder tumor. Calls and emails most welcome.

Rotarian Luis Ibarra, Escondido School District Superintendent, completed his Red Badge requirements, sharing about his brother, Rene, contracting polio as a small child, making the family more close knit and tolerant. Luis and his wife are raising their four nieces as well.

Rorie Johnston presented a check for $1000.00 to Jennifer Allen of the Palomar Foundation to help pay for the ‘alert buttons’ worn by people who need them, thereby providing untold peace of mind.
